Which lighting is right for hairdressers?

The optimum hairdressing lighting is an even light, this to avoid any shadows and the risk of reflex glare. The lighting should also have a neutral colored light in order not to affect how hair dyes are experienced, we recommend a slightly whiter light of 4000K for best results. The reason we do not exceed 4000K in color temperature is to avoid the blue that can occur in colder light colors. However, as well as the color temperature influencing, it is also important to have a luminaire with a high RA value, ie high color rendering, in order to best see the results of hair dyes and the like. In a salon, we recommend RA80.
